Needle is a MITX finalist

We're delighted to have been named one of the finalists for the 7th annual MITX Technology Awards. Needle is competing with a number of other innovative technology firms for this award in the Technology Enablers category. Winners will be announced on June 2nd.

As part of our award submission, I built a quick domain of all the previous award winners, collecting data from the form-driven MITX award site itself, and mashing it up with directory listings for map display. It was interesting to discover that my home town, Waltham, came in second place after Cambridge in the number of award-winning companies per city.  I knew Waltham was a high-tech center, but didn't think it would beat out Boston!
